This decoy carver's bench, a faithful reproduction of the real thing, is our tribute to the master carvers that have inspired us. In the wood grain we can envision the cluttered little woodshop of years past, complete with a woodstove in the corner. We can smell fresh carved wood, drying paints, tobacco smoke and a salt marsh breeze blowing under the door...The simple decoy carver working in his shop, generations later to be recognized as a classic American craftsman. |
