Each Piece comes with a copy of the story from which it was inspired. “I love to hunt for anything and everything, and have been fortunate to sample most every kind of popular US and International hunting.That said, its bird hunting that means the most to me, and especially with bird dogs. And it’s not just the time in the field, although that’s where the big memories are made. Many of us hunt, if we’re lucky, 10, 20, 30 days a year. But that dog is our buddy, our family member, and our project the rest of the year. As I write these words I glance down at the sleeping lab near my desk and life is better somehow… And when the snow melts here, Rainy and I will spend some time most every day after work throwing training dummies into our ponds, or working on whistle commands and hand-signals for blind retrieves in the long grass.
